ABA Services
We offer one-on-one and group ABA services at our center in Maplewood, NJ, as well as in the home and community.
After an initial assessment is conducted by a BCBA and an individualized treatment plan is developed, an experienced behavior therapist will begin implementing the plan. Supervision is ongoing and the BCBA will attend sessions at least weekly (likely more often) to support the child, family, and behavior therapist. Specific parent collaboration sessions are provided by the BCBA as part of each child’s treatment plan in addition to strategies being modeled frequently and embedded into daily sessions.
New Client Intake Process
Initial Consultation
Our initial consultation call is an opportunity for us to learn about your child and their unique needs. During this call, our BCBA will ask questions about your child’s strengths, challenges, to understand how we can best support their growth.
Initial Assessment
After the Initial Consultation we need to gather some necessary information to get approval from the insurance companies. These include the following items:
a doctor’s prescription
autism diagnosis
photo of the insurance card
Starting Treatment
In the next step you and your child will meet with our BCBA for an initial assessment in our center in Maplewood. During this time they will observe your child playing, interacting with them. This helps us to learn more about their needs and develop a personalized plan tailored to your child’s unique needs.
Collect Information
After the initial assessment our BCBA will work on a plan that will have all the ABA treatments we recommend. This could include 1:1 ABA therapy, group sessions and parent training depending on what is the best way to support your child. Once the plan is complete we will meet and talk through it with you.
Developing Treatment Plan
Once we’re on the same page about the treatment plan, we submit the authorization request to your insurance. Once it’s approved, we’ll work with you to create a schedule that fits your family and get started with your child’s ABA therapy.
